Welcome to 2026! We’re looking forward to an exciting year at RelianSys® as we continue to roll out our Compliance module redesign and start working on the development of new features within our other modules.

 

Our acquisition last year, by Springbrook Software, gives us the opportunity to collaborate more closely with our sibling companies: Pulse Software, Magiq Software, and Harbour Software. You’ll start to see us appearing at conferences together and integrating some aspects of our businesses where it best serves you, our customers.

 

We’ve welcomed many new customers since our last update and are excited to be working with: City of Gosnells (WA), The Barossa Council (SA), Kingborough Council (Tas), Winton Shire Council and Mareeba Shire Council (Qld), West Wimmera Shire Council, Greater Shepparton City Council and Hume City Council (Vic) and Windana Support Services to achieve better governance.

What’s New and in the Pipeline

Compliance Module

The redesign of the Compliance module continues to roll out. This quarter, we’ve made considerable progress on key initiatives that boost usability and performance, and sets the stage for future innovation.

Recent releases include:

  • New obligation page: This redesigned page will include linked risks and incidents, providing richer context and better traceability.
  • Simplified reporting controls: We’re removing the “Obligation Type” field and introducing a toggle to exclude obligations from reports to make reporting more intuitive.
  • Landing page redesign: We’ve updated the User Interface you see after you log in, introducing a more cohesive set of icons representing each module.

Pulse Software Integration

As mentioned earlier, we now sit within the same corporate group as Pulse Software. Our new relationship is already creating efficiencies for customers who use both platforms, with several Pulse modules being accessible from within the RelianSys Governance Suite.

Pulse’s Performance and Reporting Frameworks, Policies, Corporate Planning, and Projects modules can now be configured for seamless, single-point access, streamlining governance, performance, and planning solutions across your organisation.

User Tips

‘Types’ in Compliance Module are now known as ‘Tags’

Recent updates have been made to the Compliance module that affect how Obligation Types are managed. The ‘Type’ field within Obligations has been retired and all existing Types have been migrated into Tags. This means any Obligation previously assigned a Type (such as Awareness, Not Applicable, etc) will now display that value as a Tag.

Unlike Types, which allowed only one value, Tags allow multiple selections to give you more flexibility in categorising your Obligations.

For any new Obligations you create, the Type field will no longer appear. You can simply add Tags instead, if required.

Adding Tags to Existing Obligations

To add Tags to an existing Obligation:
  1. Open the Obligation and click Edit.
  2. If it is a Subscribed Obligation, only some fields will be editable; if it is an Internal Obligation, all fields will be available.
  3. Click in the Tags field to view and select from your available Tags.

Adding Tags to New Obligations

When creating a new Obligation, simply click the Tags field and select any Tags you want to apply.

Dashboard Changes

Previously, the Dashboard displayed Obligations marked as Awareness or Not Applicable in their own section under Select Position. They appeared only there and were not included in the Compliance Profile.

With the update, these Obligations are now excluded from all Reports and can be found in the ‘Excluded from Reports (all)’ section of the Dashboard beneath the Report by Position button.

If you want to include these Obligations in Reports:
  1. Click the red number next to Excluded from Reports (all).
  2. Select the Obligation you want to include.
  3. Click Edit.
  4. Toggle off ‘Exclude from Reports’.
  5. Click Save.

We had a very busy end to 2025 with conferences in Melbourne, Adelaide and Perth.
